Shulansky Backup · Last updated November 4, 2026

Shulansky Backup is a private tool that copies Michael Shulansky's own computer files into his own Google Drive account as an encrypted nightly backup. It is not offered to the public. It has one user: its owner.

What it accesses

With the owner's permission, Shulansky Backup connects to the owner's Google Drive. It uses that access only to create, read, update and delete the backup files in a single backup folder.

What it collects and shares

Nothing. Shulansky Backup does not collect, sell or share Google user data, and sends it nowhere except the owner's own Google Drive. It uses no analytics, no advertising and no outside services.

How data is stored

Backup files are encrypted on the owner's computer before they are uploaded. The sign-in permission Google grants is stored only on the owner's computer.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Shulansky Backup's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Removing access

The owner can withdraw Shulansky Backup's access to Google Drive at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
